Planning to travel in China? Or just arrived? What all things you need to do in China? Here are some important tips.

1) Do the Accommodation Registration .

“According to Law of the PRC on Entry and Exit of Aliens and the rules governing the implementation of the law, foreigners shall register their residence in China within 24 hours of arrival.”

If you stay ain hotel, you’ll just need to present passport and do the normal check-in.

If you stay at local poeple’s house, you will have to register your place of residence with the local Public Security Bureau within 24 hours of arrival.

2) Get a SIM Card/ Phone Number.

There are two leading mobile-phone operators: China Mobile and China Unicom. Either is ok. You can get a prepaid card for 50RMB to 100 RMB( in any mobile-phone shop. The rate is around 0.5 RMB( for calling within china) per minute which gives 200 minutes on a 100RMB card.

3) Carrying your passport all the time.

All foreign nationals over the age of 16 must carry their passport at all times. Because police may carry out random checks, especially at times of increased security around major sporting or political events.

4)Take precautions against pick-pocketing and other street crime.

Generally China is pretty safe, especially in large cities.violent crime is rare here, but still sometimes theft happens. always make sure your valuables are well-protected. Avoid carrying a wad of cash or your wallet in your back pocket.

Here is an overview into some of the popular options available to Call China with Call Rates:

If you are a frequent caller who wants to be always in touch with your friends and family, Unlimited Monthly plans would be an ideal option but most plans apply the unpopular “Fair Usage Policy”. Still that shouldn’t affect individual users

The Bad: OK Audio Quality

The Ugly: None
